UK Privacy Notice

This notice explains how Blink Systems Pty Ltd collects and uses personal data when you visit gotoblink.co.uk or submit the “Register interest” form on this site.

It is provided in accordance with Articles 13 and 14 of the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

2. Our UK Representative (Article 27, UK GDPR)

Blink is not established in the United Kingdom. We have appointed a UK representative as required by Article 27 of UK GDPR. UK residents may contact our representative directly for data protection enquiries:

3. What personal data we collect and why

3.1 Register interest form

When you complete the “Register interest” form on this site, we collect:

  • Your name
  • Your company name
  • Your work email address
  • Your phone number (optional)

Purpose: to follow up on your interest in Blink, keep you informed about Blink’s UK launch, and understand the needs of UK vehicle transport operators.

Lawful basis: Legitimate interests (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(f)). We have a legitimate interest in contacting businesses and individuals who have voluntarily expressed interest in our software. This interest is not overridden by your interests or rights because: (a) you initiate contact by completing the form; (b) the communication is directly relevant to what you have asked about; and (c) you can object or unsubscribe at any time.

3.2 Google Fonts

This site loads the Lato typeface from Google Fonts. When your browser requests the font file, your IP address is transmitted to Google’s servers. This happens on every page visit, regardless of cookie preference. Google Fonts does not set cookies. See Google Fonts privacy FAQ.

Lawful basis: Legitimate interests (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(f)) in delivering a properly functioning website.

4. Who we share your data with

We do not sell your personal data. We do not share it with any other third parties except as required by law.

5. International data transfers

As a company based in Australia, your data is processed and stored outside the United Kingdom.

Australia (Supabase / form data)

Your form data is stored in Sydney, Australia. Australia is not currently recognised by the UK as providing an adequate level of data protection. The transfer is therefore protected by [CONFIRM: Supabase transfer mechanism — check supabase.com/privacy for their DPA and confirm applicable safeguard (SCCs + IDTA or equivalent) before publishing].

United States (Google Fonts)

When your browser loads fonts from Google Fonts, your IP address is transmitted to Google LLC in the United States. Google relies on Standard Contractual Clauses (including the UK International Data Transfer Addendum) as the transfer mechanism for UK personal data. See Google’s privacy commitments.

6. How long we keep your data

7. Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the following rights in relation to your personal data:

  • Access: request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Rectification: ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Erasure: ask us to delete your data (“right to be forgotten”), subject to certain conditions.
  • Restriction: ask us to limit how we use your data while a dispute is resolved.
  • Data portability: receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
  • Object: object to processing based on legitimate interests. If you object, we will stop processing unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds.

To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@gotoblink.com. We will respond within one month (UK GDPR Article 12(3)).

8. Right to complain

If you are unhappy with how we handle your personal data, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO):
